“Oshiri-Tantei” is the story that is very popular with Japanese children.
「おしりたんてい」は日本の子供に人気のお話です。
What is “Oshiri Tantei”?（おしりたんていとは？）
“Oshiri” means “Buttocks” and “Tantei” means “Detective”.
「おしり」の意味は「Buttocks」、「探偵（たんてい）」の意味は「Detective」です。
It is the story of the slightly strange chief character,
少し変わった登場人物ですが、
- It is interesting to infer.
推理が楽しい - It has a lot of laughable parts.
ギャグの要素がたくさんある
so it is popular with children.
と、子供たちに人気です。

It is good for children to study Japanese.
子供が日本語を勉強するのにもよいお話です。
Therefore it is broadcasted in NHK-e-tele（Channel for children of NHK which is national broadcasting of Japan）.
だから、NHK Eテレ（日本の国営放送NHKの子供向けチャンネル）でも放送されています。
About ”Kanji・Chinese character（漢字）”
A kanji has a phonetic symbol（hiragana）
In Japan,
日本では、
- Hiragana
ひらがな - Katakana
カタカナ - KAnji（Chinese character)
漢字
We use three kinds of letters.
の3種類の文字を使います。
Hiragana and Katakana are only one pronunciation.
ひらがなとカタカナは、1つの発音しかありません。
For example, We pronounce “あ（Hiragana）” and “ア（katakana）”only “a”.
たとえば、「あ（ひらがな）」と「ア（カタカナ）」は「a」としか発音しません。
But almost all of Kanji has a lot of pronunciation.
しかし、漢字にはたくさんの読み方があるものが多いです。
Therefore Japanese children study way of reading and writing of many kanjis between the high school from the elementary school.
そのため、日本の子供たちは小学校から高校までの間でたくさんの漢字の読み方・書き方の勉強をします。
It is difficult for Japanese children to learn kanji.
漢字は日本の子供たちにとっても難しいんですよ。
Crisis of Japanese language.（日本語の危機）
It is “crisis of Japanese language”, now.
現在、日本語は危機的な状態になっているといわれています。
Because some of Japanese use “misuse of Japanese language”.
というのも、日本人なのに間違った日本語を使う人が増えてきたからです。
- They can’t talk in right and finely Japanese.
正しい日本語を話せない - They can’t read and write Kanji.
漢字を読めない・書けない - They can’t use honorific.
敬語を話せない
So basically, because it is a Japanese, anyone may not speak right and finely Japanese!
日本人だからといって、誰でもきれいな日本語を話せるとは限らないのです！
About ”Honorific（敬語）”
The Japanese language has honorific expressions.
日本語には敬語があります。
Japanese honorific has many kinds, and how to use is difficult.
敬語にはたくさんの種類があり、使い方が難しいです。
It is common sense in Japan that you use the honorific when you talk with older persons.
日本では目上の人と話すときは、敬語を使うのが常識とされています。
But there are a lot of young Japanese people who don’t use respectful language to older persons.
しかし、若い人の多くは敬語を使いません。
They don’t use honorific.
敬語を話さない。
No! They can’t use honorific.
いいえ。話せないんです。
They don’t know how to use honorific.
敬語の使い方を知らないんです。
I recommend “Oshiri-Tantei”.（「おしりたんてい」がオススメです）
