I’m in Shikokuchuo City（ex-Doi town）, Ehime.
ここは、愛媛県四国中央市（旧：宇摩郡土居町）です。
I usually go to my mom’s home town for the New Year holidays.
ボクはいつも年末年始は母の実家で過ごします。

Recently, The Japanese who traveled for the New Year holidays increased.
最近では、年末年始の長い休みを利用して、旅行をする人も増えてきました。
But It is common in Japan to spend the year-end and New Year holidays with a family.
しかし、年末年始は家族で過ごすのが一般的とされています。
So a lot of people go to their parents’ house or go to their hometown.
そのため、両親の実家へ行ったり、家族でゆっくり過ごす人が多いです。
