I collected some place that is said to be the model of Ghibli films.
ジブリ映画のモデルとなったといわれている場所を集めました。
紅の豚（Porco Rosso）1992年
A place resembling the “Porco Rosso’s hideout” is the Navaio coast of Zakynthos, Greece.
ポルコが隠れ家にしていた島のモデルとなったと言われているのがギリシャにある「ザキントス島」の「ナヴァイオ海岸」です。
And Dubrovnik of Croatia is said to have become a model of the city of the Ghibli movie “Porco Rosso” and “Kiki’s Delivery Service”.
また、クロアチアのドゥブロヴニクは、ジブリ映画「紅の豚」と「魔女の宅急便」の街のモデルとなったと言われています。
Navagio Beach（ナヴァイオ海岸）Greece（ギリシャ）
Navagio Beach（Shipwreck Beach）is an exposed cove, sometimes referred to as “Smugglers Cove”, on the coast of Zakynthos in Greece.
ナヴァイオビーチ（難破船海岸）は、ギリシャのザキントス島にある、「密輸者の入り江」と呼ばれる入り江です。
There is a shipwrecked ship on the beach.
ビーチには難破船があります。
It has been rumored the ship was smuggling contraband such as cigarettes, wine and women.
その船は密輸船だったという噂もあるんです。
In September 2018, a part of the cliffs of Navaio Beach collapsed.
2018年09月に、ナヴァイオビーチの崖の一部が崩落する事故がおきました。
Therefore, the state of the current beach is not certain.
そのため、現在のビーチの状態は定かではありません。

Dubrovnik（ドブロヴニク）・Croatia（クロアチア）
Dubrovnik is a Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea.
「ドゥブロヴニク」はアドリア海に浮かぶクロアチアの都市です。
“Old City of Dubrovnik” , which was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1979, is a beautiful city also known as “the Pearl of the Adriatic”.
1979年に世界遺産に登録された「ドゥブロヴニク旧市街」は、「アドリア海の真珠」とも呼ばれる美しい街です。

もののけ姫（Princess Mononoke）1997年
The forests of Yakushima and Shirakami-Sanchi inspired the forest setting in ”Princess Mononoke”.
「もののけ姫」に出てくる森は、「屋久島」と「白神山地」を参考にしたそうです。

Yakushima is the island in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan.
屋久島は鹿児島県にある島です。
“Yakushima” was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1993.
1993年に世界遺産に登録されました。
The island is visited by 300,000 tourists every year.
毎年30万人もの観光客が訪れる場所です。

Shirakami-Sanchi（白神山地）・Japan（秋田県・青森県）
Shirakami-Sanchi is in Akita Prefectur and Aomori Prefectur, Japan.
白神山地は、秋田・青森県にあります。
“Shirakami-Sanchi” was included in the list of World Heritage Sites in 1993.
白神山地は1993年に世界遺産に登録されました。

千と千尋の神隠し（Spirited Away）2001年
“Spirited Away” won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 75th Academy Awards.
「千と千尋の神隠し」は、第75回アカデミー賞で、アカデミー長編アニメ映画賞を受賞しました。
And it was also named the second “Best Film of the 21st Century So Far” in 2017 by the New York Times.
また、ニューヨークタイムズ紙の2017年第2回「21世紀最高の映画」にも選ばれました。
Jiufen（九份）・Taiwan（台湾）

Jiufen is a mountain area in , New Taipei City, Taiwan.
九份は、台湾の首都、新北市の山間部にあります。
It is similar to ”Yubaba bathhouse”, so it became popular with tourists.
「湯婆婆の油屋」に似ているため、観光客に人気になりました。
However, Miyazaki himself denied that Jiufen was the model city of the movie.
しかし、宮崎駿さんは「九份は参考にしていない」と正式に否定しています。

“Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum” in Koganei Park, Tokyo, Japan, is a museum of historic Japanese buildings.
東京都小金井公園にある「江戸東京たてもの園」は、日本の歴史的建造物の博物館です。
In particular, the places resembling ”Yubaba bathhouse” are “Takeisansyodo” and “Kodakarayu”.
「武居三省堂」と「子宝湯」はとくに似ています。
Hayao Miyazaki often visited here during the creation of his film, Spirited Away, for inspiration.
